Officers of the Ridgecrest Police Department seized another illegal gambling machine Tuesday from a shop at 134 N. China Lake Blvd.

According to a department press release, officers received information about the machine being used in the former Pro Shop Nutrition store. While the store’s sign remains on display, the current operation reportedly has no affiliation with the former business and had no business license or permit to run a business out of the building.

On Tuesday evening, Detectives Patrick Harlow and Eric Clinton and Officer Corey Rinaldi arrived and seized the machine as well as $700 in cash. Suspect Bisher Latifa was arrested for possession of an illegal gaming machine.

“If you are a business owner and have any questions regarding the legality of any machines, feel free to contact us, and we will help you out,” said the release.
