Vote-by-mail ballot updatesKERN COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE — Sample ballots and vote-by-mail ballots have been mailed to Kern County Voters. Voters who have not received their ballot should contact the election office at 661-868-3590 or 800-452-VOTE or votebymail@kerncounty.com. Sample ballot information is also available on the election website kernvote.com.

As a reminder to Kern County voters, the only permanent vote-by-mail drop off locations in Kern County are inside the election office and outside the County Administrative Building in Bakersfield. Ridgecrest ballot-drop-off-opportunities, staffed by election workers, are as follows:

Curbside drop-off is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 24 and 31 at Ridgecrest Branch Library.

Voters needing assistance with voting, or who just want to drop off their mail ballot in person, can also visit the satellite election office satellite election office from 12-6 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the library.

Assistance to be provided includes conditionally registering to vote, getting a replacement ballot if they did not receive one or lost or spoiled it, language assistance, or using the accessible ballot marking device.

In addition, ballots can be dropped off at any poll site on election day.
