To the Editor: Guide Dogs for the Blind thanks WACOM

As we approach Thanksgiving, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Ridgecrest, (formerly High Desert Paws to Serve), thanks WACOM for their generous gift to our Club. Although the WACOM Thrift Shop has been able to open its doors for only four months since Covid began, the Ladies of WACOM have raised funds to generously support many of the Valley’s non-profits. Our Club will use this gift to provide support: for a Puppy Raiser to attend their puppy’s Graduation/Breeder presentation, travel for a medical purpose, or puppy pick-up, or recall. In addition, the Club will purchase training supplies for use by our club puppies as they need them. Available funds will be used to pay towards the purchase of a harness for a puppy that graduates to being a Guide.

WACOM has been serving our valley for more than 50 years. Even in this time when Indian Wells Valley experienced Covid Virus restrictions WACOM has continued to generously provide funds to local non-profit organizations.

Guide Dogs for the Blind, Ridgecrest, remains grateful to China Lake WACOM.
