COMMUNITY LIGHT OPERA THEATRE ASSOCIATION (CLOTA) –
Agatha Christie’s famous, award-winning courtroom drama, Witness for the Prosecution. is coming to Ridgecrest. Produced by the Community Light Opera and Theatre Association (CLOTA), the play will be a stylish, stylized, dramatic portrayal of the scandalous trial of Leonard Vole, accused of the murder of a wealthy woman, who must face the most damaging testimony the prosecution has to offer…from his own wife.
Directed by Daniel Stallings, this production will include digital projections and an interactive element where our audiences become the jury.
We are holding auditions for actors on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at CLOTA Center Stage (1425 N. Inyo St.).
Actors will read selected passages from Agatha Christie’s script. No theatrical experience is necessary, and all levels of performers are welcome to audition. Rehearsals will be scheduled following auditions based on actor availability. Performances are scheduled for the last three weekends of September. For more information, visit clota.org.
