Austin Majors-Setmajer-Raglin sadly passed away on February 11, 2023, at 27 years old. Austin was born at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital on November 23, 1995. He was known by everyone in his life to be artistic, intelligent, charismatic, and kind. Austin had a successful career as a professional actor from the time he was three years old. He made a name for himself with some of his most well-known roles in “NYPD Blue,” “Treasure Planet,” and “NCIS”.
Austin always stayed true to his Ridgecrest roots and enjoyed visiting his grandfather, Billie Raglin, at his barber shop on Balsam Street and doing horse endurance races with his grandmother, Shirley Raglin. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and dogs at Mount Whitney.
Austin graduated Salutatorian in high school while being an active Eagle Scout and went on to graduate from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. He had a passion for directing and music production and has been a filmmaker, photographer, and music producer in recent years.
He is survived by his mother-Karrie Raglin, younger sister-Kali Raglin, grandparents- Billie and Shirley Raglin, Uncle-Greg Raglin, Aunt- Susie Raglin, Uncle- Dennis Raglin, and over a dozen cousins residing in Ridgecrest (The Raglins/The Kings).
A rosary (10:30 am) and funeral mass (11:00 am) honoring Austin will be held on March 2, 2023 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Ridgecrest, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Patriot Grill & Bar in Ridgecrest, immediately after on March 2, 2023. All are welcome.
