CLMRG thanks WACOM for donation

Letter to Editor

On behalf of the China Lake Mountain Rescue Group (CLMRG), I thank the WACOM Thrift Store for its generous donation to CLMRG.  Our organization, as well as many others, were selected by the WACOM Thrift Store to be awarded funds at their Spring Distribution of Funds.  This contribution allows CLMRG to continue our primary mission of search and rescue of lost or injured persons as well as our secondary mission of teaching wilderness safety to the public.  CLMRG also provides ‘Lost but Found’ presentations in our local schools and other organizations when asked.  The ‘Lost but Found’ presentation teaches kids what to do if they get lost in the wilderness.

The China Lake Mountain Rescue Group is an all-volunteer non-profit organization affiliated with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Mountain Rescue Association, and funded by private donations.  CLMRG is a member of the Combined Federal Campaign.
