Demetria Christine Dame (Dibble), 46, passed away on the 25th of August 2023 at Pathways Hospice Care in Fort Collins, CO. She was born in Ridgecrest, CA, on March 12th, 1977, to parents John and Corrine Dibble. She was a daughter, a sibling of four, a mother of two, a grandmother of two and one soon-to-be-born grandson, and a loving wife of twenty-five years. She met her husband at age fifteen while lifeguarding at the pool with him. They were inseparable, grew their family with love, and were a part of each other’s hearts.

Demetria was a woman who strove to make the world a better place and touch everyone that she met in a positive way. This was evident to her family and friends by the outpouring of visitors who came to see her and said their goodbyes. While a short life was lived, she filled it with memories that will never leave those whom she got the opportunity to meet. She will be best remembered for her desire to help others and the light that she shone on humans and animals alike.
She was nearly finished with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Chadron State College in Nebraska. Those clients that she got the opportunity to work with spoke volumes of how she helped them and made such an impact in their lives.
She was a lover of horses and was a lifelong equestrian. She claimed that horses were a part of her soul. She asked her daughters if they remembered her each time they passed by a pasture, hoping they knew and understood that she would be there watching over them.
Those who knew her would consider her to be thoughtful, inquisitive, always learning, and loving. To her family, she was the glue that held everyone together. While they will have to learn what it means to be without her a phone call away, they will persevere, knowing that she will always be enveloping them in her love from heaven.
Demetria is survived by her husband, Jared Dame and her parents, John and Corrine Dibble. Her brother and his wife, John and Lora Lloyd, brother and wife, Peter and Cherie Lloyd, sister and husband, Cathy and James Yokota.
