Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Johnson, born January 11, 1940, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
Elizabeth grew up in Lone Pine, Ca, with her family, where she spent her life until moving to Ridgecrest, Ca, in 2008.
Elizabeth worked for Southern Inyo Hospital in her early years as a nursing assistant and medical records technician. She later changed careers and went to work for Inyo County Health & Human Services for 25 years as a social worker, where she later retired.
Elizabeth cherished every minute she could spend with her close friends and family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Laverne & Robert Whiting, and her grandparents, Elizabeth & Relles Carrasco.
She is survived by her brother Robert (Diane) Whiting, son James (Kelley) Johnson, daughter Julie (Richard) Phillips, son Richard Faberman; grand-daughter Jaycee (Jeremiah) Estrada, grandson Jimmy Johnson; grandson Payton Phillips, grand-daughter Hannah Phillips; great-grandchildren, Alexia Carson, Kaytlyn Carson, Ryder Johnson, Scarlett Johnson, Aiden Phillips, David Gill, Piper Phillips and great-great-grandson Rhodes Stratton and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a private memorial.
