At approximately 8:00 AM Monday, July 31, Kern County firefighters (KCFD) responded to a working structure fire reported by multiple individuals in the 1000 block of Pinto Street. Once firefighters arrived on the scene, they confirmed a double-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames. The residents had evacuated.
An aggressive attack was made to extinguish the fire and complete victim searches. The home’s structural integrity was significantly compromised by the fire, but firefighters were able to complete primary and secondary searches in the home and extinguish deep-seated hot spots. The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical in nature. No injuries were reported.
