Fong endorsed by CA GOP Members of Congress

Assemblyman Vince Fong’s office– Assemblyman Vince Fong has received the endorsements of California Republican Congressional Delegation members, including:

Congressman Tom McClintock, Congressman Ken Calvert, Congressman Darrell Issa, Congressman Doug LaMalfa, Congresswoman Michelle Steel, Congresswoman Young Kim,  Congresswoman Kevin Kiley, Congressman Jay Obernolte, and Congressman John Duarte.

In announcing his support, Congressman McClintock stated, “Assemblyman Vince Fong has been a fierce advocate for taxpayers and defender of your constitutional rights.”

“He has been an effective opposition voice in Sacramento, standing up to Governor Newsom and his cronies that push an out-of-touch, liberal agenda on hard-working Californians. I have full confidence that Vince Fong will continue to fight for the Central Valley in Congress and deliver real results. Vince has my full support and I look forward to working with him in DC to improve our state and nation.” McClintock added.

The new congressional endorsements add to previously announced endorsements from Congressman Kevin McCarthy (fmr.) and Congressman Kevin Kiley.

Fong was born and raised in Bakersfield, graduated from West High School, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s from Princeton University. For nearly a decade, he served as the district director to Congressman Kevin McCarthy, providing constituent services and managing federal public policy issues for the region. For the past seven years, Fong has represented the Central Valley in the State Assembly, where he has been a leading conservative voice on issues like public safety, water, energy, and job creation.

Fong is running to succeed Congressman Kevin McCarthy in the 20th Congressional District, which includes parts of Kern, Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties.
