Assemblyman Vince Fongs office–  – Assemblyman Vince Fong has received endorsements from House Speaker Mike Johnson and the House Republican Leadership Team, including Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik.

House Speaker Mike Johnson:

Vince Fong

“Vince is an effective and dedicated leader in the Central Valley. He has fought to secure our southern border in the absence of action from the Biden administration, to restore parental rights, and to preserve the Second Amendment. He will be a needed conservative voice for the Central Valley in Congress and I am proud to support him.”

House Majority Leader Scalise:

“Vince is a trusted leader who has stood up for the Central Valley. In Congress, Vince will fight to defend water infrastructure, and energy resources, and work to secure our southern border. I support Vince Fong for Congress and look forward to working with him for the American people.”

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer:

“The Democrat’s open-borders agenda has created lawlessness and chaos. In Congress, Vince Fong will continue the fight to secure the southern border and crack down on the lethal fentanyl that is entering our country. I can’t think of a stronger advocate for the Central Valley.”

Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik:

“Vince has been a fighter against taxes and reckless spending that has driven inflation that has burdened hard-working Californians. He will bring his experience to Washington and protect middle-class families. That is why I am proud to support Vince Fong for Congress.”

Fong was born and raised in Bakersfield, graduated from West High School, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s from Princeton University. For nearly a decade, he served as the district director to Congressman Kevin McCarthy, providing constituent services and managing federal public policy issues for the region. For the past seven years, Fong has represented the Central Valley in the State Assembly, where he has been a leading conservative voice on issues like public safety, water, energy, and job creation.

Fong is running to succeed Congressman Kevin McCarthy in the 20th Congressional District, which includes parts of Kern, Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties.
