Indian Wells Gem and Mineral Society– The Indian Wells Gem and Mineral Society will hold its 66th annual Gem and Mineral Show, Saturday and Sunday, 9-5, November 5th and 6th, at Desert Empire Fairgrounds. No admission fee. The Show will feature at least 15 vendors, with rock related items. The Club sales booth has the ever popular geodes, cut open as you wait. Saturday from 2-4, will be rock painting tables for the kids (or young at heart). The Society will host a field trip to their claim, “Rainbow Ledge” to collect “jasp-agate” on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. High clearance vehicles needed. NO PASSENGER CARS. Bring water, lunch and a collecting bag. The Club meets the fourth Monday of most months and has a complete lapidary shop for members to cut and polish stones.
