HSUMD holiday dinner set for Dec. 14

The Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert (HSUMD)– The Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert’s Annual Holiday Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, December 14. The meal will be prepared by Casey’s Barbecue Restaurant, and will include chicken breast, beef with mushroom gravy, buttered corn, garlic mashed potatoes, green salad, wine or tea or lemonade. The general public is invited to this special holiday event, as well as current HSUMD members. Enjoy the great food, fun and fellowship, and music,…and a few surprises at the Historic USO Building, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd.  Doors open at 6 pm., and the dinner will be served at 6:30. Tickets are $20 each and are on sale at the Book Shop, which is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 am to 3 pm.  The telephone number during shop hours is 760-375-8456.  Follow the Society on Facebook.
