Incendio returns to Historic USO

INCENDIO RETURNS TO HISTORIC USO BUILDING ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 AT 7 PM.

In its tradition of bringing exciting and unique entertainment to Ridgecrest, The Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert is proud to announce the return engagement of Incendio on Saturday, September 24 at 7 pm at the Historic USO Building, 230 W. Ridgecrest Blvd.

This renowned “World Music” group has been electrifying audiences around the world with its eclectic, richly textured instrumental sound. Their name is translated from Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish as “fire,” which aptly describes the music of Incendio.

The varied and uniquely seductive sounds of this group come from the guitar as their primary instrument, accompanied by the mandolin, violin, Celtic harp, bass, synthesizer, and various percussion instruments. The resulting sounds, are often described as “classical,” “jazz,” “flamenco,” “Celtic,” “Latin Reggae,” and even “East Indian.” The band’s cinematic approach in presenting their music to live audiences has gained a wide following, and many of their pieces have been used in television and films.
