James (Jim) Allan Weeks, 86, of Salt Lake City, passed away in June.
Jim was born in Columbia City, Indiana, to Harlan and May Weeks.
After graduating from Purdue University, he went to work for the Navy at China Lake, CA. as a physicist.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Weeks.
Jim leaves behind his current wife, Mary, and her two children, Stan and Jenny;
his sons Jim Jr and his wife Donna and Robert and his wife Suzanne; and grandkids James III and Joshua.
Jim made his home in Ridgecrest, CA. He enjoyed club activities being active in and holding various leadership roles in many different organizations. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Royal Arch Lodge; China Lake, and Inyokern Rotary; later in Holladay, Utah. Jim was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church.
Jim will be remembered as a kind and generous man deeply dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, caving with Kay, coaching little league sports for Jim and Robert, and then spending time spoiling his grandchildren.
Jim wished his remains to be cremated and mixed with Kay’s.
