John T Baronowski born to Polish and Irish immigrant parents in Brooklyn, NY on Jan 20, 1954 passed on to be resurrected in heaven on May 23, 2022. John passed away from complications following a 14 year battle with lymphoplasmatic lymphoma.
A member of the catholic community at the all-faith chapel in China Lake, CA.
He made Ridgecrest his permanent retirement location after serving for 32 years as a Los Angeles Police Officer. John earned the rank of Lieutenant and proudly protected and served numerous communities in Los Angeles to include Hollywood, 77th, South Los Angeles, San Pedro/Harbor, stints as a detective, HAZMAT officer, tactical planning division, and audit division.
John, an avid runner, competed in numerous running events such as the Long Beach Marathon, Los Angeles Marathon, and numerous Baker to Vegas Relays on LAPD teams.
John is preceded in death by his parent John and Helen Baronowski of Brooklyn, NY. John is survived by his wife Agnes Baronowski of Ridgecrest, his son and daughter in-law John & Meghan Baronowski of Ridgecrest, his daughter and son in-law Katie and Marques Baxter of Purcellville, VA, his sister Barbara Biondo of Long Island, NY, his brother Steven Baronowski of Shirley, NY, and his beloved grandsons John and Douglas Baronowski of Ridgecrest and Malcolm Baxter of Purcellville, VA.
