Defense Contractor JT4 LLC SHARON BOYER–
Almost three years after moving into the iconic Victory Market building, JT4 LLC is opening its doors to the public. On Friday, May 12, 2023, local Ridgecrest residents are encouraged to stop by 216 W. Ridgecrest Blvd between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, not to shop for groceries, but for their next job. “We have a lot of great opportunities,” says Human Resources Specialist Sharon Boyer, who is coordinating the on-site career fair. “From entry-level Electronics Technician to Chief Engineer, we are seeking individuals at various stages in their careers to join our team.”
JT4 LLC is a Department of Defense contractor with a long and rich history in California, where it is proud to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). With the assistance of several teammate companies, JT4 supports NAWCWD’s mission at both the China Lake Ranges (CLR) and the Point Mugu Sea Range (PMSR) as part of the Joint Range Technical Services (J-Tech II) Contract.
At CLR, JT4 helps facilitate the U.S. Navy’s research, development, acquisition, testing and evaluation (RDAT&E) of cutting-edge weapons systems. This requires providing technical expertise in all aspects of testing, including network and communications infrastructure, data transportation and production, traditional and cyber network security, operations and maintenance of various threat systems and support equipment, test management, meteorology, air traffic control, configuration and data management, surveying, drafting, signal and spectrum monitoring, range access control, range clean-up and recycling, target development and construction, vehicle maintenance and repair, generator and photovoltaic maintenance and repair, telemetry and other basic and specialized functions.
JT4 is equally essential to the Navy’s activities at PMSR, where it assists in a variety of testing and training events ranging from standard one-on-one events to more involved multi-participant, multi-target training electronic combat environments, such as the Navy’s Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT). The company also assists the range with different parts of fleet battle exercises that coordinate the efforts of submarines, surface ships, and aircraft as they engage with different types of threats and targets both in the air and on the water.
Providing such a level of strong technical expertise requires a lot of dedicated and qualified employees. In order to meet projected growth, JT4 hopes to augment its talented workforce with local residents who are interested in a meaningful career supporting our nation’s defense. In return, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive pay, affordable medical/dental/vision insurance plans, generous forms of paid leave, several 401(k) retirement options (4% company match on an 8% contribution), and more.
On May 12, hiring managers from JT4 and teammate companies like Arcata and INQU will be on-site at JT4’s in-house career fair to answer any and all questions about open positions on the J-Tech II Contract at both CLR and PMSR. Participants may have an opportunity to interview on the spot and be one step closer to becoming the newest members of the JT4 team.
