On Tuesday morning, Kern County firefighters were dispatched to reports of a reinforced structure fire. The fire was in the 3900 block of West Sydnor Street in China Lake Acres. The fire in that residential area was reported to be burning various collected items in a yard. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the fire was burning things in the yard and had spread to a travel trailer, garage, and outbuilding. The firefighters worked quickly to knock down the fire while also searching for possible victims in the dwellings. As of press time, the cause of the fire was still undetermined. No individuals were found during the primary or secondary searches, and no injuries were reported on the scene by civilians or firefighters.
