Dear Chairman Couch,
This letter serves as my resignation from the elected position of Second District Supervisor of the County of Kern, effective August 2, 2024. I am resigning for significant health and medical reasons.
Serving the people of Kern County since 2011 has been the honor of my lifetime. I am deeply grateful to my constituents in District 2 for entrusting me to represent them on the Kern County Board of Supervisors, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Additionally, I would like to thank my colleagues on the Board, our talented and dedicated department heads, and the hard-working employees of the County of Kern for their steadfast support and professionalism, as together we carried out our mission “to enhance the quality of life in Kern County by protecting and serving our citizens.”
