“As the 2024 election approaches, I find I am getting anxious and discouraged. Our government is broken. The House of Representatives can not address our real problems. I attribute this to greed. Too many politicians are more interested in their careers and income than solving problems of adequate healthcare, income disparities, cost of living, adequate housing, immigration, climate change and foreign policy. I am deeply saddened to know that my father, other relatives, and people from other families fought to protect and save democracy only to see it undermined from within our country. I find I am losing trust in my fellow Americans to support our democracy and vote for candidates who care about the average person instead of rallying voters by creating fear. We have a great country. Let us unite and work together to solve problems, not create more.”
