Lynne Ann Garrison (Taylor), 57, died peacefully on June 21, 2023, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Lynne was born to Richard and Janice Taylor on July 23, 1965, in Nashua, NH. She grew up in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School in 1983. Shortly after that, Lynne met and married David Garrison in 1984.
After her marriage, she moved with David to Ridgecrest, California, where the couple had their son Michael and established their permanent residence for the last 38 years. Lynne worked at Alta One Federal Credit Union for ten years until she was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 1995. Despite her chronic condition, she was involved in several activities as a parent volunteer at Ridgecrest Christian School and Immanuel Christian School. Lynne was considered an “honorary mom” to several of her son’s friends, and she genuinely loved them as if they were her own. Lynne also loved and cared for her nieces and nephews around the country and supported them the best she could despite the geographic distance.
In her spare time, Lynne enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She would often host meals for friends and relatives every week because she enjoyed making people happy with her delicious cooking. She would also bake desserts and snacks for someone without any particular reason other than to make someone’s day and to make them feel loved. Lynne also loved dogs and supported the local rescue (Almost Eden) by fostering dogs and promoting rescue events on social media. She believed in finding all animals a good forever home. Although she moved to Ridgecrest in 1984, Lynne continued to be an avid fan of New England sports and loved the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed watching Red Sox games and attended games with her family when the team played in nearby stadiums.
Lynne was predeceased by her father, Richard Taylor, and brother Cary Taylor, father-in-law Sonny Garrison and mother-in-law Mary Ellen Garrison.
Lynne is survived by her husband, David Garrison, of Ridgecrest; son Michael Garrison (wife Ann), of Ridgecrest; mother, Janice Taylor, of Nashua, NH; brother Brian Taylor (wife Lyn), of Hudson, NH; nieces, Amanda Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Tessie Garrison and Amanda Breceda (husband Rudy); nephews Jeffrey Taylor, Gregory Taylor, and David Taylor.
Per Lynne’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Instead of flowers, she preferred friends and loved ones donate to Almost Eden Rescue – Paradise for Paws in her memory.
