A Ridgecrest resident Julio Abundis, 28, was arrested on April 17 at a local motel on two felony warrants.
According to an April 24 news release, Ridgecrest Police Officer Cushman located Julio Abundis at a hotel in the 1000 block of N. Norma St. Abundis was placed under arrest for two felony warrants, one a no-bail federal probation violation.
Officers searched his room and located approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine, about 13 grams of blue pills (suspected counterfeit and containing fentanyl), and a police scanner. Officers also found over $1,300 on Abundis’ person.
Abundis was transported to Kern County Jail -Mojave and booked on the following charges: possessing a controlled substance for sale and possessing controlled substance narcotics for sale.
Abundis is scheduled to appear at the Ridgecrest Division of the Kern County Superior Court on May 22 at 10:30 a.m.
