Michael Raymond Mower, at age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct 21, 2023, after a long struggle with colon cancer.
He was born in San Bernardino, CA, on May 6, 1944, to Ross and Iva Jean Mower.
Mike is survived by his wife, Paula (his first wife and mother of six of his children, Sally Mower) all ten of his children, Ginny Rusher, Mindy Mower, Shelly Alger, James Mower, Matt Mower, Danny Mower, Laura Dobkins, Brent Murray, Brooke Lauritizen, Emma Mower and their spouses, 27 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his three siblings Linda Rammel, Shery Lowry, Bill Mower and their spouses. He is preceded in death by his father and mother and his older brother, Don Mower.
His service in Ridgecrest includes being the Owner of the local True Value hardware store High Desert Home Center from 1979 to 2019, a general contractor, and 18 years in Ridgecrest City Council, including serving 4 of those years as the mayor, Optimist Club, Lion’s Club, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Ridgecrest Hospital Board (including serving as chairman), and service in his church in various capacities (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints).
Services will be held at 10 am on Dec 16th at 501 N. Norma St, Meeng house of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
