Michele Marie Stacy was born on 9/8/49 in Brisbane, Australia, to an American Navy World War II hero father, William, and Dawn Callaghan, an Australian Master Pianist and USO show director.
Her family emigrated to the U.S. and settled in Los Angeles County. Michele attended St. Paul’s Catholic School and Long Beach State.
Michele was a professional guitarist, pianist, and vocalist. She built her own pianos and was a certified piano tuner and tech. She later became a nurse and eventually settled in Kern County.
Michele had a singular worldly wit and a hilarious sense of humor. “Shelly” was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, and her siblings: Kerry, Dale, and Robyn. She is survived by her nephew, Taylor Stacy, and her niece, Renee Green.
