James Monroe Middle School Amy Self – Amy Self, Principal of James Monroe Middle School, set aside January 23 – 27 as Kindness Week. During the week each day was filled with themed events, and spirit days, and always centered on how one act of kindness can truly change things. Self said, “Our goal was to use Kindness week to showcase the work of our Kindness Club and all the other wonderful clubs we have on campus.” She encouraged kids to dress up for spirit days* and participate in the Kindness Activities happening on campus.
*Our Week of Kindness included: Mix & Match Monday, Twins Day Tuesday, Wednesday we wear Pink vs Black, White lie Thursday**and Friday was Disney Day.
