Respect for Law Dinner set for March 25

The 27th Annual Respect for Law Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Kerr McGee Community Center, 100 W California Ave., in Ridgecrest.

The event will create an outlet allowing the community to show support for law enforcement, the first responders of our criminal justice system.

The event allows Law enforcement to recognize one of their outstanding officers.

Ten community organizations plus representatives from the City of Ridgecrest, Kern County, the State of California, and the U.S. Congress will recognize officers from five law enforcement organizations.

This year, the organizations are:  AltaOne Federal Credit Union, Ridgecrest Lions Club, Rotary Club of China Lake, Ridgecrest Elks Lodge, Kiwanis Club of Ridgecrest, American Legion #684, Knights of Columbus,  Women’s Center High Desert, Inc., Operation Family Fund, and Veterans of Foreign Wars

 The Law Enforcement agencies that will have an honoree are Ridgecrest Police Dept., China Lake Police Dept., Kern County Sheriff, California Highway Patrol, and Bureau of Land Management.

Tickets may be purchased for $25.00 each from members of the hosting organizations and law enforcement agencies or contact Jan Bennett at 760-382-4488  (please make checks payable to Ridgecrest Nexus Foundation). Sorry, no tickets at the door.
