Tonight is the opening night for the 29th Annual Community Unity Star Follies in Joshua Hall at the Desert Empire Fair. Saturday night is sold out. However, there will be tickets at the door tonight, but purchasing your $25.00 ticket at the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce office or at SASS is a good idea. The show starts at 7:30 pm., Doors open at 6 pm You might get there early; there will be food trucks and an open bar.
This community-building event, sponsored by the Ridgecrest Chamber, is also a favorite fundraiser. It brings leaders and others from the community, the base, elected officials, and others from our valley together to provide two evenings of hilarious entertainment. You may recognize some of the folks singing (lip-syncing) and dancing to popular tunes. There may be your local postal worker, business owner, or even Mayor Eric Bruen and Sierra Vista Unified School District Supervisor Dr. Dave Ostash.
Come and have a fun night out on the town. Proceeds go to support the operation of the Chamber and for scholarships for the graduating seniors from Trona, private schools, and some public schools. Folks will be discussing it, and you should join the conversation.
