By LAURA QUEZADA News Review Staff Writer – Tonight, Friday, October 6 and tomorrow night, Saturday, October 7, at 6 pm Robbers Roost Ranch is hosting the 1st Annual High Desert Talent Contest. The ranch is just up the road a piece at 4990l Highway 14, Inyokern. There is a $10 cover charge, but families get in for $25. There are still vendor spots at $100 for all four nights.
This is a two-weekend event with juried elimination rounds held this weekend. Next weekend, contestants will be invited back for Friday, October 13 night’s juried elimination round. The Finals will be on Saturday, October 14, and the audience will vote for the winner, who gets $200.
If you are 13 and over, you can enter. Can you dance, sing, have a variety act, play an instrument, rap or are in a group or band of 5 or fewer people? You can enter. Christopher Ortiz Entertainment is running the shows and will deejay between acts.
