RPD arrests male accused of assault

Ridgecrest Police Department was dispatched Tuesday afternoon to the alleyway in the 400 block of S. China Lake Blvd. for reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers detained a male subject walking away from the area and located a second male laying in the alleyway who was suffering from injuries to his face. Liberty Ambulance and the Kern County Fire Department arrived on scene rendering medical aid. The male victim was transported to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries. The suspect was arrested for felony battery and booked at Central Receiving Facility in Bakersfield.
