Scouts Food Drive

For the National Day of Service, Boy Scouts Troop 848 & Cub Scouts Pack 341 will be volunteering from 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday, February 4th outside of both Albertsons and Walmart stores here in Ridgecrest. They are Scouting for Food. The scouts would appreciate you taking the list of most needed non-perishable foods for those experiencing food insecurity in our community. Purchase a few items off the list while shopping (cases of water and bags of apples and oranges always in season and needed) and return your giving to the scouts when you exit the store. They are delivering all donated food to The Salvation Army to be distributed among the over 1,500 households currently being served. Last year, the Scouts collected 3,350 lbs of food at one location, so this year’s goal is 10,000 lbs of donated food. Thanks for supporting the Scouts.
