Sierra Sands Unified School District (SSUSD)–
Sierra Sands Unified School District will celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Richmond Elementary School campus on Monday, April 17. The ceremonies will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the construction site, located at the corner of Richmond Road and Gold Canyon Street.
“This occasion represents the culmination of years of work of countless individuals representing Sierra Sands and so many supporting agencies and organizations. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with our community!” said Dr. David Ostash, superintendent of SSUSD.
Officials from the U.S. Navy at China Lake and state departments, as well as local elected officials and their representatives, have been invited.
“There are so many people who have made this moment possible. Because of that, we want to make sure that everyone who has invested in the students and staff at Richmond is invited to attend,” said Ostash.
