SSUSD hires Jeff Moore as Dir. of Facilities

Sierra Sands Unified School District (SSUSD)—Jeff Moore has been selected to fill the newly created Director of Facilities position.

The SSUSD Board of Trustees unanimously approved his selection on Wednesday, May 1, during their Special Board Meeting. Jeff, who lives and works in Fontana, currently works as a real estate broker. He has decades of experience working in industries directly related to construction project management.

When asked about his new position, Jeff said, “My goal is to bring a complementary tool set to the SSSUSD that will add to the excellence of our team, helping set the stage to support our student body now and into the future.”

Pam Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, said regarding Jeff’s hiring, “Mr. Moore’s skills and abilities will be very beneficial to the district as we move towards completing the significant goals specified in our 5-year Facilities Master Plan timeline and the ongoing maintenance and operations of our existing facilities.

With the significant volume of new construction and ongoing maintenance activities, the district’s need for a Director of Facilities has become critical. We look forward to welcoming Jeff to the SSUSD team and are confident that he will provide the leadership the District will need in the coming years. Jeff began work in the district on May 2 and is settling into Ridgecrest. He looks forward to meeting with our staff and supporting the SSUSD Facilities Master Plan.
