Chip Holloway, Chief Executive for the Fair, said, “I was happy and amazed at the turn out Saturday night in light of the blowing sand and gusty winds. The weather calmed down around 7:30 so we were able to proceed with the Rodeo.
“No doubt the attendance was somewhat hampered by the weather but on Sunday we made up for it with a record turnout.
“We had good feedback as attendees said there was so much entertainment they were unable to take it all in.
“We decided to spend 60% of the budget this year to bring things to the Fair that we could offer for free.
“Half for the $5 parking fee proceeds went to the Boy Scouts.”
