The wreaths will arrive several days prior to December 17th.

“Our goal for this year was 1200 wreaths,” said Cash. “I am happy to report that we have reached our goal of 1200 wreaths.   This means that we will have a wreath for every veteran grave site at the Desert Memorial Park.”

Thanks to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion, Operation Family and the Elks for making this a success.

There are 1100 veterans buried at Desert Memorial Park, Ridgecrest.

They do not have a count of veterans buried at the following cemeteries Searles Valley Cemetery, Trona,  Mount Owens Cemetery, Inyokern (Grapevine Canyon),  Rand District Cemetery, Johannesburg, Darwin Cemetery, Darwin and  Ballarat Cemetery, Ballarat. They should have 100 wreaths to support these locations. “Thanks to all who support this effort as we prepare to Remember, Honor and Teach what the price of freedom is and who paid the price.”
